Ciaran Beattie

Ciaran Beattie is an Assistant Coach for Scotland Women and Technical Blueprint Development Manager.

Beattie joined the national team set-up in 2017 ahead of their warm-up Autumn games and the lead up to the 2018 Women’s Six Nations.

He played age-grade rugby for Scotland before joining professional side Borders Reivers in 2004 and represented Scotland 7s in 2006.

His first role for Scottish Rugby, outwith playing, was in 2009 as a Performance Analyst.

As defence coach with Melrose, Beattie won the Tennent’s Premiership in 2013/14 before joining Loughborough University in a Head Coach role the following season.
