Royal Bank of Scotland Scottish Varsity Matches

The much-anticipated Royal Bank of Scotland Scottish Rugby Varsity Matches 2018 will take place at BT Murrayfield on Saturday 22nd September.

Over the last three years, the men’s and ladies’ varsity matches between the University of Edinburgh and the University of St Andrew’s have attracted over 10,000 spectators in the student and wider rugby communities to the international stadium.

The event is hosted in partnership with Scottish Rugby and supported by Royal Bank of Scotland, Campus Living Villages, Playerlayer and Macron.

Tickets for the matches are available now at scottishrugbytickets.com, and will be priced at just £5 for students and U18’s, and £10 for adults.

Stay Varsity Match Fit

The University of Edinburgh, The University of St Andrews and the SRU are committed to creating a safe, comfortable and enjoyable experience for Varsity Spectators and the wider community who reside near BT Murrayfield. Spectators are responsible for their conduct and for the conduct of their guests. Spectators are reminded that the Scottish Varsity Matches are a joint University of Edinburgh and University of St Andrews event and therefore those attending the match should be aware of their University's Code of Conduct. Spectators who consume alcohol are encouraged to drink responsibly.

In particular, spectators and their guests are prohibited from the following:

  •          Exhibiting behaviour that is unruly, disruptive, irresponsible or illegal
  •          Using foul, abusive or offensive language or making obscene gestures
  •          Interfering with any ongoing event, business activity or the enjoyment of others
  •          Entering or attempting to enter the ground whilst in possession of alcohol and/or whilst drunk     
  •          Verbally or physically harassing any of our guests or staff
  •          Failing to follow instructions of University or SRU staff or Stewards

Please note that pitch incursions are not tolerated at BT Murrayfield and may result in prosecution

Spectators and their guests who violate these provisions will be ejected without refund and also may lose ticket privileges for future events.
